The Stacking Bunk Bed is built to last, and is made
of solid Douglas Fir (Pine is also available).
There is no particle board, veneers, or MDF used in any of our
beds, and our Stacking Bunk Bed is no exception.
The Stacking Bunk Bed is great for kids, spare rooms, and vacation
homes. These beds are great space-savers, especially with the optional
Storage Drawers,
and you can even add a third bed and/or gigantic storage drawer
with one of our Trundles.
Our Bunk Bed design is incredibly strong and durable by virtue
of its triangular brace construction (read more on this subject
in About Our Beds).
Our Stacking Bunk Bed comes in 2 styles Standard,
and Combo.
The Standard Stacking Bunk Bed comes with 2 stackable
units, both in the same size top and bottom.
The Combo Stacking Bunk Bed has a
smaller bunk on the top and a larger bunk on the bottom; these
are available in Twin-over-Full, Twin-over-Queen, and Full-over-Queen.
Note: The Twin- or Full-over-Queen size Combo
will accommodate an Extra-Long mattress on the top bunk (because
of the Queen overall length of the bed), which can be ordered
from us along with your bed. If you want to use a standard length
mattress, we offer a lidded storage box at no charge that fits
in the extra space.

The L-Shape Bunk Bed has a top unit and an independent
bottom unit that can be arranged to the left or right underneath
the top unit. Since each unit is independent, each one can be moved
to its own location (such as another room) at any time.
These are a great solution for young folks who are currently
sharing a room, but won't be forever.
Like our other models, the L-Shape Bunk Bed is made of solid
Douglas Fir (Pine is also available), and is incredibly strong
and durable by virtue of its triangular brace construction (read

Beds).

Signature Series Hardware
|
 |
| |
 |
The hardware we use is made of solid steel, and are heavy-duty
construction.
The hardware on the leg is recessed. As the hooks in the
bed rail go down into the socket, they also pull inward, creating
a large amount of force that mates the two surfaces securely.
This results in a wobble-free connection that is solid as
a rock.
This knockdown hardware is easy to disassemble and reassemble
when the need arises.

|
|
|
| |
 |
The Stubborn Norwegian says: "Making a bed that
we are truly proud of in every aspect takes a lot of time. The beds
are beautiful, and do not wobble and never will. The best materials
are used from start to finish, plus a lot of care and attention,
making these beds superior to any others.
I have been asked by store owners to build
Bunk Beds for them. I am always asked to reduce the amount of wood
used and the quality to get the costs down. I just don't want to
compete with imported junk beds. Bunk Beds with lag screws or barrel
bolts are doomed to wobble.
I really do like the strength and appearance
of Douglas Fir, and The Signature Series is our best example of
what can be done with this unique and beautiful wood."
