Of course there are some professions that Norwegians should
avoid. Talk show host or hostage negotiator,
for example, are jobs that a wise Norwegian will stay away
from. But we can bait a hook, and build good furniture. So,
I will get off the "podium" and put down my horn

I just wanted to thank you for truly making a piece of furniture
that will last a lifetime. Other products I have purchased
say they will last a lifetime but obviously will not and do
not, but the bunk bed you made us probably will last well
past my life, it is that well made. I was lying on the bottom
bunk, and was thinking this is the best piece of furniture
in the house.

Don,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate you
on making the best bed I have ever seen. I wanted to write
this unsolicited letter because so much is made of the bad
that people do but never the good.
The wood is beautiful and could very well have gone natural.
The quality of the wood and the appearance was excellent.
The stain and finish just give it that much more of a classy
piece of furniture.
The construction was very well documented and written up.
There was not one area where I didn't know how some parts
went assembled. I knew that at anytime if I did get stuck
I would have someone on the phone that could answer my question
instead of hearing: "Please bring it into the store for service".
The material, craftsmanship and quality were well worth the
price. I had shopped for loft beds for two weeks previous
to placing my order and not one impressed me like this one.
I showed my son who will use the bed at college three pictures
- one a commercial loft bed, one another well advertised loft
bed maker and your brochure, and the outcome is evident.
Once again thanks for the experience and remember to stop
and smell the tulips. Don "Remember all work and no play…………etc".

I just wanted to let you know that we received the bed on
Thursday. We got it put together and were missing the 2x2
support [Oops! Our bad...- ed.]
but found one at the local lumber yard. We are really thrilled
with it! It's just what I wanted for the lake cottage! Thank
you so much for making the shipment a priority so that we
were able to do this while we had the time. It would have
been a heck of a job by myself!

Hi, Today we were looking at our beds that we have had for
nearly 3 years and marveling at how well they look and how
sturdy they still are! We run an emergency shelter for homeless
teens and the kids are really rough on furniture. The beds
still look incredible and are so solid. Thanks for your amazing

Hi Guys:
Like all good things this took time. Our place finally got
to the point last week where we could move furniture in and
also assemble the bunk beds. Yes, they do take time but the
end result looks great. They are built like the proverbial
brick s*** house.
Attached are pictures of the place and looking into one of
the bedrooms (the bedrooms are tight thus no full frontal
shot).
[Editor's note - we haven't had
a chance to get Terry's pictures that he sent us on the web
yet, but he's got what he calls a "bunk house,"
and what we would call "a vacation paradise" in
Montana - what a place. Terry has since ordered from us again...]

Hi Don: The headboards arrived today and my husband put the
beds together .Everything went well and there was no damage
in shipments. Thanks for your attention to detail and packing
things so well. We're going to finish with tung oil and I'm
anxious to see how they look. My son is really excited about

my boys are with their new bunk beds. Took about 2 hours o
put them together. Great quality. We wanted to put guards
on the bottom bunk also. I purchased two 2x4 fur studs, routed
and sanded them... took a half day. Proved to me what a great
product and value you deliver.

Hello Don, We received the instructions on your previous
email. They will be helpful. The instructions have some funny
lines :-). We started staining the wood tonight. We will finish
it tomorrow and start to assemble. I like all the rounded
edges and smooth surfaces, very nice work!

Hi! Merry Christmas!! This tardy response is not to suggest
we've been struggling with the bunk bed since its safe arrival.
Quite the opposite, I had my helpers dogging my every step
until it was complete and ready for their action! We finished
within 2-3 days only because of my long days at the hospital
left only a 1-2 hour stretch here and there. The build went
very smoothly. We couldn't be happier with the quality of
wood and assembly. No mishaps or missteps... Thanks again
for your help and assistance.
P.S. You don't happen to know any Norwegians that make a
desk to match? We'd love to round out the bedroom with a study
area...

I admit that I tend to be a demanding consumer, and I need
to tell you we are absolutely satisfied. We shopped ALL OVER
and your beds are in a league of their own--beautiful and
sturdy beyond compare. Our only regret is not knowing about
you prior to purchasing our first daughter's bed. We just
had our fourth child--we'll be in touch when he's ready for

Wanted you to know that the boys love the beds. Neither boy
has spent much time with my husband or me since the beds were
constructed. We have to go into their rooms, and they are
usually on their beds. My younger son (10) has built a fort,
designed a stage and created a cave...in the last three days.

Hi Don. Received the loft bed yesterday, and it is now in
Abby's room. It is terrific!!!!! Your instructions were easy
to follow, it took us just about 1 hour and 40 minutes to
put together (that is from opening the boxes, taking them
upstairs, etc.). I consider that pretty darn good for a couple
of amateurs like us. Thanks, Don. We are thrilled!!! (Even
I get to sleep on it tomorrow night, and I can't wait!!!)

The bed went together beautifully, and it's incredibly stable.
Excellent design, excellent manufacture. Jason (16) loves
it - even helped me put it together; one of the few projects
we've managed to work together peacefully on in the last couple

to Alaska with your son in July. Just so you know, we love
the bunkbed that you made for Conrad. Its just perfect. The
wood is beautiful. I had very little problem putting it together.
